- Be My Love -

A celebration of the great Tenor, Mario Lanza.

Jeff Stewart is very proud to announce the launch of his most recent concert project, "Be My Love".

Jeff sums up his exciting new show as follows:

"Be My Love is a truly memorable journey through the life and work of Mario Lanza. It includes 19 of his best loved songs and one or two which were less well known, but meant a great deal to the tenor himself.

We explore the truth about the man known as the American Caruso; discovering where he stood, in terms of his talent, compared with that of his contemporaries and of course, Caruso himself. We learn more about his reputation for temper tantrums, about his frequent weight problems and discover the truth of just what was behind them.

I take the part of Lanza and sing, amongst others; La Danza, Vesti la Giubba, Because, Serenade, I'll Walk With God, Ave Maria and, of course, the title song: Be My Love.

The show can be booked in three forms; with narrator and piano, with narrator, piano, violin and 'cello or, with narrator and the Scarborough Spa Orchestra. "
